What is a Target Market Determination?
A Target Market Determination, or TMD, describes the class of consumers a financial product is designed for. It also sets out information relevant to distribution and review of the product.
A TMD serves a different purpose from a PDS. Use the TMD filter to find the target market document, and the PDS filter when you need the product’s disclosure statement. Check the provider’s website for the applicable versions of both.
How to find the document
- Select TMD and search the provider or product.
- Match the exact product and open its TMD.
- Check the document date and the provider’s current disclosure information.
